Construction began in 1882, and despite Gaudi’s tragic death in 1926—his remains rest in the crypt—the project has continued, with completion expected by 2026, marking the centenary of Gaudi’s death.

Day 03 :
FIGUERES | Dali's Hometown

You’ll begin your second day by following in the footsteps of Salvador Dalí on The Dalí’s Connection Tour in his hometown, Figueres.

Upon arrival, visit the Salvador Dali Theatre-Museum—a dreamlike space entirely dedicated to the artist’s life and work. Opened in 1974 on the site of the former municipal theatre, the museum showcases a vast collection of works donated by Dali himself, along with others curated by the Dali Foundation.

This extraordinary experience takes you through the evolution of Dali’s artistic journey—from his early years in Spain to his influential time in France and the United States.

The enormous building, often considered the world’s largest surrealist structure, is easily recognized by its towers crowned with egg sculptures. Beneath its grand dome lie the remains of Dali himself, making the museum both a celebration of his genius and a kind of eccentric mausoleum.

After lunch at one of our recommended local restaurants, enjoy the rest of the afternoon exploring Figueres at your own pace.

You may choose to visit other cultural sites such as the Museu de l’Emporda, a four-story museum housing artworks from the 7th century to the present day. Among its highlights are lesser-known Dali pieces like Sant Narcis, a true explosion of color.

End your day with a stroll through Figueres’ charming old town, where you can either follow one of our dining recommendations or discover a Catalan culinary gem on your own.

Day 04 :
CADAQUES | Dali’s world in Catalonia

After enjoying a traditional Catalan breakfast, your journey toward the coast will take you through the stunning landscapes of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, a protected area made up of diverse ecosystems and dramatic scenery.

Nestled within this region is the picturesque fishing village of Portlligat, one of the hidden gems of the Costa Brava. Surrounded by whitewashed houses and narrow alleys, it was here that Salvador Dalí lived and worked for nearly 50 years.

His home, inhabited until 1982, is now the Dali House-Museum—a labyrinthine structure that perfectly reflects the artist’s eccentric personality. It served as his personal refuge, where he lived with his wife Gala and created many of his masterpieces.

Just a few kilometers away lies Cadaques, the town that most deeply influenced Dali’s artistic vision. Once a fortified fishing village under constant threat from pirates, Cadaques evolved into a bohemian haven during the 20th century.

It attracted creative minds such as Picasso, Miró, Chagall, Duchamp, Magritte, Buñuel, and García Lorca—many of whom visited at Dali’s personal invitation.

You’ll end the day traveling along the breathtaking Costa Brava, arriving at L’Escala, a historic Mediterranean town where you can relax, and enjoy the rest of the day.

  • Accomodation: Hostal Empuries / Etc..
  • Meals: Breakfast / Dinner
  • Activities: Dali House Museum (Tickets included)
Day 05 :
PUBOL | Gala’s Castle

The day will begin with a visit to the Greco-Roman archaeological site of Empuries, a settlement dating back more than 2,000 years. The only place on the Iberian Peninsula where the ruins of both a Greek and a Roman city coexist.

The Dali’s Connection Tour heads south in search of Gala’s castle, taking you through charming medieval villages like La Bisbal d’Emporda—known for its vibrant ceramic traditions—Pals, and Peratallada

Pals is a beautifully preserved medieval village full of charm, with cobbled stone alleys and meticulously maintained homes. This is the perfect spot to pause for lunch and try a local specialty: arroz de Pals a la cazuela—a hearty rice dish baked in a clay pot, typically made with meat, seafood, or both. Tempting, isn’t it?

Next, you’ll stop in Peratallada, another postcard-worthy medieval town, enclosed by a deep moat that once defended it from invaders. Many homes here are draped in ivy and bougainvillea, adding to the fairytale atmosphere.

Finally, you’ll arrive at Pubol, home to the enchanting Gala-Dali Castle. This romantic estate was a gift from Dali to his beloved muse Gala, fulfilling his promise to make her the queen of a castle.

Inside, you can explore a collection of Gala’s dresses, personal vehicles, and extravagant garden sculptures created by the artist himself.

The day will end in the city of Girona, where after checking into your hotel, you’ll have the evening free to explore and enjoy dinner.

  • Accomodation: Casa Cundaro / Palau dels Alemanys / Etc..
  • Meals: Breakfast
  • Activities: Gala's Castle (Tickets included)
Day 06 :
GIRONA | Old Town, New Flavours

Today, you’ll explore Girona alongside a private local guide, who will lead you through the most fascinating corners of this ancient city—boasting over 2,000 years of Roman history and layered cultural heritage.

You’ll visit key landmarks including the magnificent Gothic Cathedral, the Call (one of the best-preserved Jewish Quarters in Europe), the evocative Arab Baths, the city walls, and the Monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants.

Beyond its history, Girona is also a top gastronomic destination. It proudly hosts one of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants: El Celler de Can Roca, awarded three Michelin stars.  A meal here is certainly a splurge—but for many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that’s well worth it.

And for film lovers, Girona offers another surprise: the city served as one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones. For the most dedicated fans, we can arrange an optional extended tour covering all the major filming locations, complete with stories, maps, and insider trivia.

To close the day, enjoy a dinner with a carefully paired wine selection that showcases the best of local flavours.

Day 07 :
BARCELONA | The Art of Living

On your last day of The Dali’s Connection tour, you’ll begin early with a visit to one of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks: La Boqueria Market.

Known for its vibrant colors, tempting aromas, and wide variety of fresh produce, local delicacies, and artisanal goods, La Boqueria offers an unforgettable sensory experience. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy a traditional breakfast of fresh fruit and a delicious pastry from one of the market’s local vendors.
