It’s the first day of our Signature Galicia route, and we start with a hearty breakfast to prepare for the adventure ahead.
We travel to Vega de Valcarce, where the official ascent to O Cebreiro begins—the highest point on the entire Camino, a climb that challenges even the most seasoned pilgrims. After approximately 12 km of uphill walking, we reach the charming aldea at the summit, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas. Wander through the village streets, admire the traditional pallozas, and visit the historic church that celebrates the legacy of the Camino’s yellow arrows. Here, we enjoy a well-earned lunch to restore our energy before continuing the day.
In the afternoon, we transfer to the Abbey of San Xulian de Samos, a living Benedictine monastery with roots dating back to the 6th century. As evening falls, the chants of the Benedictine monks set the rhythm for the night. Enjoy dinner and retire to rest in this unique location, experiencing an overnight stay within the historic abbey walls.

On our second day of Signature Galicia, we leave the Abbey behind and begin walking in Melide, with a short visit to the ancient Pilgrims’ Hospital. The path takes us through rolling landscapes to Arzua, famous for its cheese. Here, where we'll enjoy a visit to the Cheese and Honey Museum with a tasting and a rewarding local lunch.
In the afternoon, we walk the most emotional stage: the final 10 km to Santiago. At Monte do Gozo, we share the excitement with fellow pilgrims before catching the first glimpse of the Cathedral of Santiago. The journey ends along cobbled streets filled with music and life, arriving at the Plaza del Obradoiro to admire the cathedral’s iconic façade.
After checking into our central hotel, the evening is yours to relax or discover Santiago at your own pace.

Today we walk what many call the true ending of El Camino — the legendary path to the “end of the world.” This stage of Signature Galicia takes us through Galicia’s rugged interior and wild Atlantic coast, where the ocean disappears behind the hills only to return with breathtaking views.
Our journey finishes at Cape Finisterre, kilometer zero of El Camino, a site steeped in history and symbolism. If the weather allows, we’ll witness an unforgettable sunset as the sun sinks into the Atlantic, a moment pilgrims treasure as the true finale of their Camino.
We’ll wander through the fishing town of Finisterre, discovering its maritime heritage and timeless atmosphere. The day ends with a dinner of fresh seafood and Galician specialties before resting in the iconic lighthouse — now a unique hotel — for a once-in-a-lifetime night at the edge of the world.
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- Activities: Finisterre Village Guided
- Accommodation: Lighthouse in Finisterre
On this stage of Signature Galicia, we continue beyond Finisterre to reach the mystical coastal town of Muxia, another spiritual ending of El Camino. The route follows dramatic stretches of Galicia’s coastline, where cliffs meet the wild Atlantic and fishing villages preserve centuries of seafaring tradition.
Arriving in Muxia, we visit the Santuario da Virxe da Barca, a place steeped in legend and pilgrim devotion. Here, granite rocks shaped by the sea tell stories of miracles, making Muxia a deeply symbolic destination for pilgrims seeking closure.
In the evening, we savor Galicia’s flavors with fresh seafood and local wines before retreating to the elegant Parador overlooking the ocean. A relaxing Spa session at the Parador is included, offering the perfect way to unwind after the journey.
With peace, reflection, and breathtaking Atlantic sunsets, this final experience brings the Camino to a magical and unforgettable close.
